How do you choose a ski boot?

How should it fit to minimise discomfort during long days of skiing?

How do you choose a ski boot?
It must not pinch! Any slight pinch will be a big pinch at the end of the day when your feet are swollen. It should not be loose around the ankles or feet as you need the firm support but if your toes are crunched or your circulation is compromised you'll be sorry!
Reply:Make sure there is about a centimetre between your toe and the end of the boot to allow for when you are pressing forward in a skiing position. Also keep in mind that you will probably be wearing thick socks when you ski.
Reply:Go for a good brand like Nordica, they put more work into designing a comfortable boot.
Reply:Get the guys in the shop to give you their full attention and tell them exactly how you feel with your foot in the thing. Don't let them wander off - you need expert advice.
